About the Role

We're looking for a Full Stack AI / Cloud Engineer to design and build an end-to-end intelligent application that processes complex documents, extracts structured insights, and delivers them through a modern web-based interface.

This is not a narrow specialty role — it calls for a true builder who can own the full system: backend, frontend, cloud deployment, and AI integration. You'll be building from the ground up, working closely with architects and stakeholders to translate high-level designs into working, production-ready software.

The initial engagement is a six-week project. If things go well, there's a strong likelihood of continued work — the client has outlined roughly two years of potential follow-on engagement, though only the initial six weeks are formally committed at this time.

This role requires availability during U.S. Central Standard Time.

Responsibilities

• Build a full-stack application from the ground up (backend + frontend + cloud).
• Develop AI-powered data extraction pipelines using vision LLMs deployed in Azure AI Foundry.
• Design and implement APIs and services using Python frameworks.
• Build responsive UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environments.
• Integrate PDF parsing using deterministic libraries (pdfplumber, PyMuPDF / fitz) alongside LLM-based extraction.
• Orchestrate workflows across services, APIs, and data layers.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Containerize applications using Docker or similar technologies.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate high-level designs into working software.
• Deliver production-ready, tested, and documented solutions under tight timelines.

Requirements

Core Engineering Skills:

• Strong experience in Python (3.x).
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks.
• Full-stack development experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience with Pydantic for schema validation and instructor (or equivalent) for structured LLM outputs.

Cloud & DevOps:

• Experience deploying and managing applications in Azure.
• Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry and vision LLMs.
• CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps.
• Containerization with Docker or similar tools.

Document Processing & AI:

• Experience integrating deterministic PDF parsing libraries (pdfplumber, PyMuPDF / fitz).
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered extraction pipelines.

Other:

• Must be able to work in U.S. Central Standard Time.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver under tight timelines.
