This professional runs the marketing activities of the organization, including representing the
organization to promote its products and services to individuals or other organizations, and supporting
business growth by disseminating information that promotes a favorable view of the organization and
its products and services.
Carries out marketing initiatives and ensures alignment with channel and marketing partners.
Activities include monitoring customer and competitor activity and industry trends; market research,
pricing, merchandising activities; brand management of product lines, geographies and sectors;
participation in congresses and other activities for product activation and promotion, developing and
implementing advertising and publicity campaigns.
Partners with marketing teams to ensure customer needs for each targeted segment are being
incorporated into product design, branding, and marketing approaches. Develops product
commercialization strategies (e.g., pricing, licensing, distribution etc.).
In alignment with the distributor, the professional is responsible for identifying and promoting
relationship events with the main stakeholders and decision makers of its client portfolio, in addition to
mobilizing resources to anticipate and respond to the needs, issues and clinical opportunities of
clients, in addition to implementing and executing strategies and initiatives.
This position works closely with the J&J Surgical Vision team, sharing account information and is the
focal point for technical support and development for distributor, final customers and stakeholders in
their territory, as well as ensuring the implementation of the strategies defined by the marketing team
and the leadership team. It also participates in initiatives to launch new products and technologies.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure that the strategy & marketing plan are converted into sales goals, business objectives and planned activities for the distributor teams.
- Responsible for managing the entire product life cycle for certain product(s) from Surgical Vision Portfolio, from planning to execution in support of organizational strategy and objectives
- Work with distributors to ensure accurate forecast, distribution, pricing and promotions for the portfolio assigned.
10% Drives present/future product direction, developing strategies to maximize product appeal to target customers, determines product features/functions and oversees product development (including sample and prototype development), liaising with cross functional teams.
- Actively monitor the competition and propose impact actions to improve the positioning of our products
- Researches and analyzes market conditions, including key consumer trends, buying patterns and competitor positioning to project demand/profitability for potential products, key product features/requirements, and favorable timing for product launch.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships and processes with all Support Functions to assist business in resolving complex issues
- Monitors product functionality/performance and identifies opportunities for product innovation/enhancements.
- Develop and maintain strong and meaningful relationship and partnership with all distributor owners and key stakeholders by effective communication and team-working activities.
-Prepares product documents and supports sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise.
- Responsible for preparing purchase orders and approving activities and materials related to Surgical Vision in Veeva.
- Completes routine marketing tasks to ensure consistency and timeliness of campaign activities.
- Configures key performance indicators to align metrics with marketing objectives.
- Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
- Actively monitor all events, including congresses and other opportunities, where Johnson & Johnson can promote its portfolio.
- Ensure adequate participation in elected congresses and establish effective coordination with distributors and Vision Care teams. Establish Adequate Budget Control for BMI
Required Minimum Education:
College level (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Optometry, Engineering, Biomedicine,)
Required Years of Related Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of sales and/or marketing experience with Medical Devices, preferably Ophthalmology
products.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications for everyday business use
· Oral and written communication skills that allow effective communication with the company and opinion leaders
· Highly oriented to customer service, support and results
